About this service
Cruise passengers calling at Dublin or Cobh have between five and ten hours ashore. A Luxora chauffeur collects you at the terminal, drives you to the sights you choose and gets you back to the port well before sailing.
We meet inside Dublin Port's cruise terminal at Alexandra Quay (or at Cobh's deep-water quay for southern itineraries) with a discreet name board, handle any small luggage you've brought ashore, and brief you on the day. Standard Dublin loops include Trinity College and the Book of Kells, the Guinness Storehouse Gravity Bar, Christ Church Cathedral, Kilmainham Gaol, and a coastal scenic drive out to Howth Head or south to Killiney Hill for the “Bay of Naples” view. Cobh-based passengers typically choose between Cork city, Cobh's Titanic Experience and St Colman's Cathedral, Blarney Castle, or Kinsale for lunch.
Tell us what you want from the day: architecture, whiskey, literature, children, photography, or one long lunch. Parking is handled at every stop, and your chauffeur will recommend lunch options at your price point (from a traditional pub in Howth to a Michelin-starred tasting at Chapter One).
Dublin and Cobh are on the Northern European, British Isles and transatlantic itineraries of Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Princess, Holland America, Cunard, Silversea, Regent and smaller lines. Business Class and First Class take one to three adults; parties of up to seven go in the Business Van. Tell us about mobility needs, dietary requirements for lunch, or anyone prone to travel sickness when you book.
A four-hour Dublin highlights loop for two passengers costs from €320, up to €480 for a full six-hour day with several paid attractions and lunch coordination.
Questions about this journey
Where does the chauffeur meet me at Dublin Cruise Port?
Your chauffeur meets you at the cruise terminal gate at Dublin Port with a name board, immediately after disembarkation. We monitor ship arrival times in real time, so even if your tender is delayed, the vehicle is waiting when you step ashore.
How much luggage fits in the chauffeur vehicle?
Business Class and First Class each carry up to 3 passengers with 2 large suitcases, and Business Class also takes 2 cabin bags. For more luggage, or four or more guests, choose the Business Van (up to 7 passengers and 7 large cases). It adds €80 to a half day and €160 to a full day, the difference between the Business Class and Business Van rates on our tariff. Tell us when you book.
Can we sightsee Dublin highlights before re-boarding?
Yes. Most cruise clients book a 4 to 6-hour itinerary covering Trinity College, the Guinness Storehouse, Grafton Street and the Howth Cliff Walk before returning to the ship.
What happens if my ship's all-aboard call changes?
Your chauffeur stays in touch by mobile and can return you to the cruise terminal at any time, even mid-itinerary. We bake a one-hour buffer into every cruise return time, and we'd rather skip a final photo stop than risk a missed sailing.
